MEET OUR HEAD COACH
PROFESSOR ISAIAH SANCHEZ
Professor Isaiah Sanchez started his jiu jitsu journey in 2018 and completely fell in love with the sport. After years of practice and dedication, he took the next step in 2021 to become a coach at Alex Martins Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Highlight BJJ, which gave him the opportunity and skill set to follow his dream and open his very own school in 2023. Eventually he received his black belt from Professor Alex Martins at Alex Martins Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after seven long years of training in 2025.
With the love and support of his family and friends, Isaiah has brought Corsicana Jiu Jitsu to the community and hopes to continue to share his love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while teaching his students about self defense, discipline and teamwork.

GENERAL INFORMATION
IBJJF BELT GRADUATION SYSTEM
At Corsicana Jiu Jitsu we adhere to the IBJJF belt graduation system. This belt ranking system helps represent where students are at in their journey. Each stripe and belt represents the growth and the milestones they’ve achieved along the way. We offer belt promotions twice a year, once in the Spring and again in the Fall. Students must be present at the belt promotion ceremony to receive any stripes or belt earned. Stripes are earned based on each students knowledge of techniques, the ability to apply the technique, as well as their attendance to class.
CJJ RULES
- NO SHOES ON THE MATS - To maintain a clean, safe environment we do not allow shoes on the mats at any time.
- MAINTAIN YOUR HYGIENE - To ensure we are creating a safe and sanitary training space we ask that students come to class in a clean uniform with finger and toe nails clipped.
- COME READY TO TRAIN - We ask our students to come to class ready to train wearing the appropriate uniform ready to put in the work.
- BE A GOOD PARTNER - Even though this is an individual sport, at CJJ we are a team. We are not here to hurt our training partners, instead we work together and grow as a team.

COMPETITIONS & TOURNAMENTS
BECOME A CORSICANA JIU JITSU CHAMPION
Like many other sports, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu allows students to test their abilities and further their growth by competing against others at their rank by utilizing tournament style competitions. These competitions allow students to see where they are succeeding and what improvements need to be made, as well as instilling self confidence and proper sportsmanship throughout their BJJ journey.
